Terms of Use

By creating an account, logging in, or otherwise using any of our Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms. Access to these Terms and our Privacy Policy is available within our Services (e.g., in the App's "Settings" menu under "Support & Info" or on the Site's footer).

To access and use advanced features of our App, including AI-powered tools and data synchronization, you must sign in using your Google account or via an Email Magic Link. By signing in, you authorize us to access limited account information (such as your name and email address) for the purpose of maintaining your App account and syncing data across devices. We may also allow limited access to certain features without creating an account ("Guest Mode"). In such cases, your content and settings are stored locally on your device and are not synchronized across devices unless you sign in. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities that occur under your App account. We recommend that you enable multi-factor authentication (if available) and ensure your device remains secure. If we detect or suspect unauthorized use, we may temporarily suspend or restrict access to protect you and our Services. Your use of third-party sign-in is also subject to the respective terms and privacy policies of those providers. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of those providers, or for any issues arising from your use of their authentication services.

Apex Keyboard is an AI-powered input application designed to provide smart, fast, and natural typing experiences. Key features include:

• AI Writing Assistant: Real-time writing assistance including Grammar & Clarity, Tone, Shorten/Expand, and Rewriting to enhance your text as you type.
• Context Input Support: The App adapts to the input context (such as input field type and real-time user input) to improve keyboard behavior and suggestions. This information is processed in real time and is not stored.
• Smart Typing: Includes Autocorrect, Spellcheck, and Snippets for faster and more accurate typing.
• AI Chatbot: In-depth, multi-turn conversations, allowing for quick queries and conversation continuity through locally stored chat history.

AI features require an active internet connection. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors; you should exercise your own judgment when relying on AI-generated output.

You retain all rights to the content you type, submit, or process through our Services ("User Content"). We do not claim ownership of your User Content. To operate, improve, and provide the Services to you (e.g., processing AI request and syncing your snippets or dictionary across devices), you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, distribute, and display your User Content. We process User Content only as necessary to provide functionality. Except for AI chatbot conversations stored locally on your device, we do not store or retain real-time AI writing inputs (such as rewrite, tone adjustment, grammar correction, shorten, or expand features). You are solely responsible for your User Content and its consequences. You agree not to use the Apex Keyboard to generate or submit content that's illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, obscene, sexually explicit, discriminatory, or promote violence, self-harm, or illegal activities. This includes content submitted to any features, including AI, and you agree not to try to bypass any safety filters. You are also responsible for any content imported from third-party platforms, confirming you have the necessary rights, and we don't take responsibility for copyright violations. Any content you export from our Services is for your personal use, and you are responsible for handling it according to applicable privacy and data protection laws.

Certain advanced features ("Premium") are available through auto-renewable subscription plans, offered on a monthly, or yearly basis. Some AI-powered features may be available to free users with limited daily usage. Each subscription provides access to specific Premium features and unlimited AI requests under normal usage conditions. However, usage may be subject to reasonable limits or safeguards to prevent abuse, ensure fair use, and maintain system performance. All subscriptions are processed securely through the Google Play Store using their respective billing systems. We use RevenueCat as an authorized service provider to facilitate subscription management. We do not collect or store your payment information directly. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Google Play account settings. If you start a free trial, you will be automatically charged the applicable subscription price when the trial ends, unless you cancel before the trial period concludes. Any unused portion of a free trial will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription. We generally do not offer refunds for Premium features or AI usage access. Refund eligibility is subject to the policies of the relevant app store (Google), and any refund requests should be directed to the respective store's support channels.

You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities: using our Services for any illegal or unauthorized purpose; interfering with or disrupting the integrity or performance of our Services or their data; attempting to gain unauthorized access to our Services or their related systems or networks; reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling any part of our Services; submitting inappropriate or offensive content to any features, including AI; using our Services to generate, request, or engage with content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, obscene, sexually explicit, discriminatory, or promotes violence, self-harm, or illegal activities; attempting to bypass any safety filters or content restrictions implemented for AI features; engaging in spamming, phishing, or any other form of malicious activity; or violating any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation.

Our Services, including their design, keyboard layout, app structure and original content (excluding User Content), are owned by ApexOn and protected under applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Although standard typing and writing assist feature may be common across similar applications, the specific design, presentation, implementation, and AI-powered workflow within the App are proprietary to ApexOn. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Services or included content without our prior written permission.

Our Services are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the operation or availability of our Services, or that they will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components. You acknowledge and agree that AI outputs are based on complex algorithms and data patterns and may contain inaccuracies, biases, or errors; any reliance on AI-generated content is at your sole risk. AI features are designed to assist users and should not be relied upon for critical, legal, financial, medical, or other high-risk decisions. We are not responsible for any decisions made or actions taken based on the information or suggestions from our AI features.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall ApexOn or its suppliers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses. These damages might result from (i) your access to or use of, or inability to access or use our Services; (ii) any conduct or content of any third party on our Services; (iii) any content you get from our Services; and (iv) unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content. This applies whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence), or any other legal theory, regardless of whether we've been told about the possibility of such damage.

We can terminate or suspend your account and restrict access to our Services immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including if you break these Terms. You can delete your account at any time as described in our Privacy Policy. Once terminated, your right to use the Services will immediately end.

Our Services are not intended for children under 13. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum legal age in your country) to use our Services. If you are under the age of 18, you may use our Services only with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian. You're responsible for ensuring that your use of our Services complies with all local laws and regulations applicable to you, and we do not represent that our Services are appropriate or available in your country or jurisdiction. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or service offered through our Services at any time without prior notice, and we're not liable to you or any third party for such changes. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ApexOn, its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of your use of our Services or violation of these Terms.

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of any new terms. By continuing to access or use our Services after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you don't agree to the new terms, you're no longer authorized to use our Services.
